You are right otherwise the food it contains may suffer...
Fortunately, there is a simple trick to defrost your freezer very quickly.
The trick is to use a hair dryer to remove all the frost in the blink of an eye. Watch:
1. Remove the food from the freezer.
2. Put them in the fridge or in a cooler.
3. Unplug the freezer.
4. Run the hair dryer over the walls to remove the ice quickly.
5. Throw the ice in the sink.
There you go, you've defrosted your freezer in less than 5 min thanks to the hair dryer :-)
No risk for your food that was in the freezer. You will be able to quickly put them back in the freezer before they defrost.
To melt the ice, instead of the hair dryer, you can also put pans or bowls of hot water in the freezer.
Now that your freezer is completely defrosted, it's time to clean it thoroughly.
For this, put a tablespoon of baking soda in a bowl, and add a teaspoon of liquid black soap. Mix to form a paste. Spread this mixture with a sponge on the walls of the freezer.
Rinse the inside of the freezer with vinegar water by putting 1 tablespoon of white vinegar in a bowl of warm water.
Know that a freezer should be cleaned about every two months.
