Flower pots very often have a drainage hole in the bottom.

This allows excess water to drain off when watering.

How to

1. Remove your plant from the flowerpot.

2. Place a coffee filter at the bottom of the pot.

3. Replace the plant in the flowerpot.

4. Water your plant safely.

Result

There you go, with the coffee filter, no more soil escaping from the flowerpot :-)

Excess water comes out of the flowerpot fine, but not the soil!

It's still more practical that way, isn't it?

In addition, it avoids putting soil everywhere on your terrace.

With the coffee filter, there is no more risk of the hole clogging up and killing the plant.

For this trick, no need to buy new coffee filters!

You can very well take a coffee filter that has already been used.

After drinking your coffee, put the grounds in the compost, and place the filter directly in the flowerpot. You don't even need to rinse!

If your flowerpot is larger than the diameter of the coffee filter, you can put 2 side by side.
