Is the kitchen sponge starting to smell bad?
It's normal when you do the dishes every day with it.
It becomes a real nest of bacteria...
But no need to throw it away! You can give it a second life easily.
My grandmother has a simple and effective trick for recovering a smelly sponge.
The trick is to clean and disinfect it with water and lemon . Watch:
1. Squeeze a lemon juice.
2. Pour very hot water into a container.
3. Add lemon juice in it.
4. Put the sponge in it to soak.
5. Let the sponge soak overnight.
6. The next day, rinse it with water.
There you go, your sponge is now all clean and disinfected :-)
No more bad musty and greasy smells! Your sponge smells like lemon.
It's still cleaner that way, isn't it?
