To empty a vacuum cleaner, it is quite simple. But if you encounter any difficulty, refer to the instructions.

Press the lid and remove the dust bin. Empty the dust container into the trash bag.

Pro Tip: so as not to put it everywhere when you empty the dust container, I advise you to go outside or in your garage. Otherwise, you're good to go for a sweep after cleaning your vacuum cleaner. If these photos were taken indoors, it was raining that day :-)

Step 2:dismantle everything that can be dismantled!

Disassemble the parts of the central part of the dust container. For the curious, it's called a cyclone separator. Then clean all parts under running water.

Important: allow all parts of the cyclone separator to dry before reassembling them in the unit.

Step 3:cut tangled hair

Use the seam ripper to carefully cut hair, bits of string and other tangled dirt around the roller or under the brush of your vacuum cleaner.

You don't have a seam ripper? You can also use simple scissors. But be careful, don't scratch your beautiful vacuum cleaner!

Step 4:disinfect the underside of the brush

Using a piece of cotton soaked in 70º alcohol, rub the underside of the brush. Alcohol will quickly dry out and disinfect your vacuum .

Does this step seem unnecessary to you? Know that the brush is far away the dirtiest part of the vacuum cleaner! Of course, without taking into account the dirt inside the dust container.

In fact, the underside of the vacuum comes into contact with ALL surfaces in the house...

Including kitchen, bathroom and toilet!

And afterwards, we meticulously drag this same brush in our bedrooms, in the living room, etc. Yuck!

That's why it's important to remember to disinfect the underside of your vacuum cleaner's brush.

Step 5:wash the dust bin

Clean the dust container under running water in your sink, taking care to wash the rubber seals thoroughly.

Important: let the dust container dry completely before reassembling it in the vacuum.

Step 6:Wipe the entire exterior

Using the dampened microfiber cloth, wipe down all the exterior parts of your vacuum cleaner.

For even more efficiency, you can add a little of this multi-purpose cleaner to the cloth.

Step 7:clean the filters

In your sink, clean the filter of your vacuum cleaner under running water, following scrupulously manufacturer's instructions.

On most bagless vacuum cleaner models, the filters can be easily removed and then rinsed with water.

Now all you have to do is let the filters air dry.

Important: wait for filters to be fully dry before reassembling them on your vacuum cleaner. Indeed, if the filters are still wet, they can develop mold inside your vacuum cleaner.

Step 8:clean the scratches
