11. Without rinsing it, put your tablecloth in the washing machine and run the usual program.

Result

Lo and behold, the wax stain is now completely gone :-)

Simple, effective and economical, right?

And this trick works to remove wax stains from tablecloths, napkins and also to clean wax stains from clothes.

And you can use the same trick to remove depilatory wax stains from fabric.

Why does it work?

Blotting paper has a high absorption capacity. By heating the wax with the iron, it becomes liquid again and the blotting paper can absorb it easily.

As for bicarbonate, it is slightly abrasive. By rubbing it against the halos of the stain, we unclog the small particles of wax stuck in the fibers of the fabric.

With the machine wash to finish, there is no trace left.

Bonus tip

To clean a wax stain on clothing or a tablecloth, you can also use brandy.

Soak a cloth in eau-de-vie and gently rub the stain with it, as explained in this tip.
