Vinegar can be safely used to degrease dishwashers with natural rubber seals and parts made of ethylene-propylene, silicone, fluorocarbon, virgin Teflon and synthetic rubber, Samsung, Whirlpool or other.

In some cases, however, the acidity of the vinegar can damage or attack the rubber parts of the appliance.

Its use should be avoided in particular on dishwashers with polyacrylate, fluorosilicone and Buna-N seals.

Because if the vinegar stays too long in contact with this type of seal, it can slightly damage them.

That said, note that the water used during the wash cycle dilutes the vinegar. So there is little risk of it causing damage to your device.

Just make sure that the white vinegar does not remain in prolonged contact with your machine.
