Do you use an essential oil diffuser at home? Me too.

I use it almost every day and even make my own diffuser oil blends.

These blends are anti-stress, boost my immune defenses or help me concentrate.

But, did you know that over time, the diffuser gets dirty and you have to remember to clean it to keep it healthy and effective?

Here is how to clean your essential oil diffuser in 3 simple steps . Watch:

Half fill the water tank and add 1/2 teaspoon of white vinegar. Turn on the diffuser for 5-10 min. This allows the vinegar water to pass through the diffusion system, to clean it and descale it.

Step 2:clean and dry the inside of the diffuser

Turn off the diffuser, unplug it and empty the water. Be careful not to wet the motor. Then wipe the inside of the diffuser with a soft cloth, a cotton swab or a small brush depending on the parts of the device.

Pay particular attention to cleaning the sensor. Depending on the brand of the diffuser, its appearance and location vary. Look at the instructions for your device. This sensor must not be dirty or clogged. Use a small brush or cotton swab to wash it off.

Step 3:clean the exterior

Using a soft cloth, wipe the exterior of the machine:remove fingerprints, smudges or smudges.

To make it easier, you can dampen the cloth with a multi-surface cleaner. Be careful, once again, not to wet the electronic part of the diffuser.

And There you go ! All you have to do is put on your favorite essential oil blend and breathe.

This method only applies to diffusers that run with water, not ones that run dry like this one.

When should the diffuser be cleaned?

The ideal would be to do it after each use. Personally, I admit that I don't do it every time. I clean my diffuser about once a month.

Or if I see that it does not diffuse normally:it starts to make noise, the vapor is less dense than usual or downright non-existent. This is the sign that we must act quickly!

The good news ? It is that a few minutes are enough to clean it from top to bottom.

Which essential oils to choose?

I have a soft spot for the doTERA essential oil collection that I have been using for years. In addition, they come from a fair circuit which finances humanitarian aid. The oils are tested and guaranteed to be pure.
