The pinkest house in the world is for rent on Airbnb

The sites for renting accommodation between individuals are full of nuggets, certainly well hidden in the tide of altogether ordinary places. And yet, these atypical places are worth the detour, like the rooms decorated from floor to ceiling on the themes of Super Mario and Star Wars. This time, it's an entire house that has a particularity far from going unnoticed, since it is... all pink! Located in the town of Tiptree, south east England, the life-size Barbie house-like building is painted pink inside and out, and is filled with furniture and decorative items flashy. Pale pink, magenta, raspberry pink, candy pink… Shades are available on walls, floors, but also in lamps, neon lights, garlands or even chandeliers. Lovers of minimalist design, go your way...

Kitsch pushed to the extreme

Yes, because the kitsch doesn't stop there:here and there are shimmering bead curtains, disco balls, sequin-covered heart-shaped frames, and endless vines of fake flowers. The house, called the Eaton House Studio, is described as a "magical" place, where flamingos and unicorns reign. The owners, known as Amy and James on Airbnb, say the house is “very spacious” and is like “a work of art that keeps evolving”. And for good reason, they add that they are constantly installing new things! The place can accommodate up to 30 people, and indeed, it is better to be several to pay the bill for the night which amounts to 1,800 pounds, or 2,100 euros.

The experience can be pleasant, but it is better to keep a plastic bag nearby in case the body has trouble adjusting to so much pink... Would you be tempted by a short stay in this extraordinary house?
