Save on your energy bill

You probably hear and see it often energy suppliers and comparators who shout; ‘save a lot of money if you switch up to 250 euros per year’. This is indeed true, but to keep a lasting benefit from switching, you must do this every time your contract expires.

How do you save on energy?

Energy suppliers want new customers, they do this by; welcome gifts, cashbacks, competitive rates and so on. But once the contract term has expired, you will be charged a different rate. The sleepers or variable rate this is always higher than what you paid first. To prevent this, you switch after your contract term has expired, then you will again receive the rates that are used to bring in customers.

Compare yourself.

You can of course compare different energy suppliers every year, which means that you have to find the best deal yourself. You have to do this every year before you fall into the sleeper rate as explained above. If you don't you will pay too much again. You can now also switch automatically every year, this is a service that is already widely used in England.

Automatically switch energy supplier.

The service of automatically switching energy supplier is fairly new in the Netherlands. The SwitchHero service is therefore new, the operation is quite simple, you sign up and they will look for a deal. Once it has been found, you will receive a proposal for it, here you can determine whether you agree or not. If you do not agree, we will continue to search until you are too satisfied. If you are satisfied, the rest will all be taken care of for you, without you having to do anything further.
