Design and work, is it contradictory?

Have you seen buildings whose shape has intrigued you? With the arrival of new technologies in our homes and offices, builders allow themselves to build modern and innovative buildings that stand out from the landscape. Design is therefore very often associated with the office. Recently, the Milan Fair, which took place from April 9 to 14, presented office furniture.

We could find many pieces of furniture on display there, especially those designed by the great designers in the field. A look back at this major event that made an impression!

Design enhances any space

Among the most well-known designers, Jean Nouvel was present and designed six spaces that he calls the “Bureau à vivre”. But before presenting his scenes, let's recall these works.

Jean Nouvel is a French architect who studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Recognized worldwide, he drew the plans for the Agbar Tower in Barcelona, the Dentsu Building in Tokyo and we owe him the Quai Branly Museum, the Cartier Foundation and the Institut du monde Arabe in Paris. This year at the “Salone Ufficio” he proved his genius by staging six spaces in totally different ways. With a loft and hangar part, it proved to us that a company can set up just as well in a tertiary establishment, as an industrial building, an apartment or quite simply at home. Mixing different products from major brands, it shows originality. In this way he paid tribute to many architects and designers, proving to us that design can be imported anywhere.

Combining relaxation and a work of art

Another big celebrity came to present his furniture at the show. Indeed, the Iraqi-British architect, Zaha Hadid, presented us with his Zéphir designer sofa.

A true figure of the deconstructivist movement, she drew the plans for the CMA-CGM tower in Marseille, the Hoenheim terminus in Strasbourg, and the Pavillon-Pont in Saragossa, Spain. Imbued with technology and modernism, this sofa is purely ergonomic and allows different seating configurations. With complex and dynamic lines, it remains incredibly comfortable.

These creations remind us of the innovative lines of a chair that still has an effect in the relaxation rooms of our companies, the Ball Chair. It is designed by Irish artist Finn Stone, produced from recycled ABS and coated with high quality paint. Still trendy today, its design can be integrated indoors or in an outdoor environment and comes in a wide choice of colors. Accompanied by the baby chair and its Slice coffee table, your room takes on a contemporary look, very fashionable these days.

At the service of companies

Finally, we cannot miss the creations of Philippe Stark. Present at the show through six editors, we find it in particular with the CRYSTAL DREAM furniture collection, made up of the Crystal Supper Black table and the Small Crystal Supper Black console revisiting the impertinent luxury of Black crystal. Always in the transparency we also notice his talents with the ICE chair. Associated with the Archive storage unit, they let the light pass through for a better lit room.
