The size of the pot according to the plant

How to choose the right pot for each plant?

The development of a plant is based on the choice of its pot. In order to create the right balance between the two elements, the depth of the pot will vary according to the size of the plant.

So a creeping or low-flowering plant will require a pot 15-25 cm deep. Large shrubs require more depth for their growth, between 50 cm and 1 m depending on the extent of the roots.

Note that the deeper the pot, the better it retains water for perfect hydration of the plant. Do not skimp on the shape of the pot either. Prefer pots with wide edges to narrow necks because the latter may damage the roots of your plants during repotting.

The material according to the needs of each plant

Plastic, terracotta or wicker pots, you are spoiled for choice as to their material. Flower pots were not created just to look pretty.

Plastic pots, for example, in addition to being aesthetic and easy to maintain, keep the plants fresh. They therefore avoid too frequent watering to the point of decomposing them quickly.

Terracotta pots are less advantageous because they let the water evaporate. Although they allow the roots to breathe easily, they require regular watering to maintain good hydration.

Finally, for more style, you can paint your pots, leaving your imagination free.
