Who hasn't dreamed of being told about their garden:"Will you give me the name of your landscaper? ". You should know that creating a quality exterior landscaping is within everyone's reach. Just follow a few simple tips.

Choosing the type of garden

It is this initial choice that will determine the atmosphere, materials, minerals and plants of your garden, bringing coherence to your outdoor layout. It seems obvious that we are not going to plant geraniums in the middle of a Zen garden! So it's up to you to take this first essential step, based on your tastes, your desires and also on the space you have.

Among the possible moods, you have:

  • the typical flower garden:roses, geraniums, gravel or crushed slate paths
  • the Provençal garden:olive trees, Italian cypresses, lavender and a stone fountain
  • the tropical garden:rustic palm trees, bamboo and exuberant plants
  • the Mexican-style dry garden:hardy yuccas, agaves, prickly pear cactus and other dasylirions on a bed of stones and pozzolan
  • the vegetable garden:beautiful mulched paths surrounding squares of vegetables
  • the Zen or Japanese garden:lots of minerals, gravel, but also typical plants such as Japanese maples and bonsai trees
  • the fruit garden:a few trees such as pear or cherry and a few shrubs such as blackcurrant or gooseberry

This list is not exhaustive, and you can always find a "favorite" garden model that you will want to reproduce at home. It is obvious that in a large garden, we can segment intelligently to reproduce several atmospheres.

You can also add exterior landscaping elements such as ponds, fountains, stepping stones, pergolas and decorative mulching (pozzolan, colored gravel), the main thing always being the consistency of your project!
