Classic dishwashing liquid:a harmful product

Dishwashing liquid is even at the top of the household products responsible for poisoning in France. For information, nearly eleven million people are victims every year of domestic accidents caused by cleaning products. Many of them can be avoided through the use of natural products, which you can make yourself. This is the case of the famous dishwashing liquid.

How to make homemade and ecological dishwashing liquid?

Another very common recipe used for making dishwashing liquid is to use Marseille soap. For this preparation, start by grating half of a Marseille soap (a real one and not an imitation!). In a saucepan, add half a liter of water and the grated soap. Warm it up. The product obtained must be completely liquid. Stir it from time to time.

Off the heat, add four tablespoons of white vinegar and two tablespoons of soda crystals. Once the preparation has cooled, all you have to do is add 30 drops of cinnamon leaf essential oil or about twenty drops of tea tree essential oil. Note that during preparation, a chemical reaction causing foaming may occur. Also, no need to panic, this is a normal phenomenon.

Black soap transformed into ecological dishwashing liquid

Black soap is valued for its antiseptic and cleansing properties. It can easily replace Marseille soap in the production of an ecological dishwashing liquid. To start the recipe, boil 500 ml of water. Then, take a bottle and pour in four teaspoons of baking soda and 40 g of liquid black soap.

Pour in the water, which should be hot. Close the bottle and mix. Then add lemon essential oil to finish. According to your desires, you can replace the lemon essential oil with eucalyptus essential oil, orange essential oil or tea tree oil as for the previous recipe. In addition, be aware that it is preferable to replace your sponges as regularly as possible to guarantee excellent hygiene. Do not hesitate to use a brush to clean dishes that are too dirty and encrusted with fat.
