How to set up multiple users on Google Home

One of the big criticisms of Google Home when it first hit the market was the inability to add multiple Google accounts. How to start

  1. Download the Google Home app on your phone. You don't need the login or account of the existing Google Home user who first set up the device. Just make sure you're connected to the same Wi-Fi network as Google Home.
  2. Open the app, skip device search and sign in with your Gmail account. You should see all Google devices that are connected to your Wi-Fi, including your Google Home device.
  3. Tap Link to my account below the Google Home icon to get started.
  4. The app will ask you to say “Okay Google” and “Hello google” Twice each to recognize your voice. Once configured, you can ask, “Ok google what's my name?” to verify that it is configured correctly.

And that is! You can then use the device to check your Google calendar, ask about traffic for work (if you've saved your work address on Google Maps), and much more.

You can also access Google Home settings in the app to choose your preferred music and TV/movie sources like Spotify and Netflix, select your preferred news sources, set up any smart devices you have in your home that you want to control with Google Home. , access your shopping list and more.

If you have a Chromecast setup, you can also use it to play YouTube videos from your account using voice commands. This feature should be available for US and US users.
