How to Create a Spooky Fairy Garden for Halloween

Step 1

Collect Materials

Take a walk outside to find sticks and branches. Put your found objects with your craft supplies.

Mark and cut the pumpkin

Mark the size of the opening on the side of the pumpkin. Use a craft or utility knife to cut out the circle. Be sure to cut outside your lines so there are no marks on the squash.

Paint the inside of the pumpkin

Paint the inside of the pumpkin black. The easiest way to do this is to simply spray the paint directly inside the pumpkin and spread it around with a small foam brush.

Start with a forest

Trim the branches to fit inside the pumpkin and glue them in place.

Make the terrain

Add moss and rocks to the bottom of the pumpkin.

Add vegetation and graves

Carefully place the plants and air figures to complete the miniature world.

Place at all levels

Display your spooky scene for all to see.
