There's no medicine lurking inside, but these treats are packed with things that will help keep disease at bay.

Pomegranate juice is rich in vitamins A, C, and zinc (all good for fighting cold) and plenty of antioxidants to speed recovery. Ginger is an immune system stimulant and fights nausea or an upset stomach. Lemon juice offers another dose of vitamin C, and honey can soothe a sore throat. Wrapped up in a tasty, easy-to-digest package, these healthy treats are good if you're under the weather or trying to maintain your immunity when colds spread.

If you have candy molds, you can use them to make all sorts of fun shapes, whether it's bears, butterflies, or berries. If not, pour this soothing mixture into a glass baking dish and cut into squares.

Collect the ingredients

If pomegranate juice doesn't appeal, other high-vitamin, pulp-free juices (such as cherry, cranberry, or elderberry) can be substituted. Authentic ginger ale can be used in place of ginger tea, but it will increase the sweetness.
