How to mount a wall table

Introduction

Mark the area to set up the table

Measure and mark the wall where you will mount the table. The mark should be the final height of the installed table minus its thickness. For example, if the tabletop will be 42 inches above the floor and the tabletop is 1-1/2 inches thick, mark the wall at 40-1/2 inches. Mark the center of the cove and center of the line where the table will hang.

Step 1

Drill holes in posts

Locate the studs on the wall. Drill holes in the cleat to correspond to the bolt locations. Screw the staple to the wall through the holes.

Step 2

Install the supports

To install the decorative brackets, place them on the wall and make sure they are plumb. Mark the wall through the holes in the brackets. Install self-tapping drywall anchors at marks, and attach brackets by screwing through brackets into anchors

Step 3

Attach the table

Place the table on the clamp and supports. Make sure it's centered, then attach it to the cleat by driving the screws through the staple into the table from under the table.
