A touch of nature

Sometimes the Christmas inspiration you're looking for can be found right in your own backyard. Why not turn this nature-inspired gift ornament into an afternoon activity for you and your family? Put on your winter boots and wrap up in scarves, then scour the neighborhood for seasonal treasures.

Create Base

Pineapples are appropriate for the season and are pretty much everywhere this time of year. If you can't find one in your own backyard, head to the craft store for a fake version that's just as good as the real thing. Use hot glue to join two pineapples together, and use this as a base on which to apply smaller elements.

Final touch

Arrange additional seasonal items to your heart's desire. Once you're happy with the cluster you've created, use hot glue to secure everything in place. While the glue sets, wrap your gift in kraft paper and tie with kitchen twine. Paste your garnish on top to finish.
