Peanut Free Thai Pad Recipe

The ingredients

1/3 cup chopped white onion
3 tablespoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 package of flat rice noodles
1 package cubed firm tofu
1 cup bean sprouts
1 egg

Sauce Ingredients

1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup hot or hot sauce
2 tablespoons of fish sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic
3 tablespoons sunflower seed spread

Garnish

Lime
cilantro
mint
chopped green onions

Instructions

1. Saute onion and garlic together in a saucepan with olive oil until onion is translucent. Add the tofu and brown on both sides. Set aside.

2. Boil the noodles in a pot filled with water until soft.

3. Stir the sauce ingredients and separate them.

4. Add the noodles and vegetables to the same saucepan with the onion and garlic.

5. Crack the egg into the pan and stir until the egg is cooked. Add sauce to the wrap and serve with lime wedges, fresh herbs, chopped green onions, and more fish sauce.
