Using a picture frame she makes what is called a deckle. You will need to remove the glass and the bracket, use only the frame part.
Measure the frame on a piece of screen and cut two pieces of screen to that size. Attach one of the screen pieces to the picture frame. Make sure the screen is taut.

Tear the newspaper into strips. (In the video above, there are also options to use toilet paper and paper towels.)

In a blender combine a fistful of newspaper and water. (Go slow, mixing too much paper at once could burn out your blender's motor.) Add paint to the mix. Darker, more saturated paint colors are best when working with newspaper.
Fill the plastic container with the pulp mixture.

Lightly spray the cover (frame with screen) with cooking oil and immerse it in the container. Pull the cover up and the screen should have acted like a fence trapping the red paper pulp. Add embellishments like glitter or confetti on top.

Coat the second piece of the screen with spray oil and place it on the paper. Dry with old towels. When most of the moisture has been absorbed, remove the top screen and throw the sheet of paper out of the cover and onto towels to dry. Most leaves take 24 hours to dry. You can also speed up the process with a hair dryer.

Trim the edges of the smooth dry paper. If you are printing a photo on your new paper, choose a high-contrast black-and-white photo for best results. Insert the paper into your printer and press print.

Frame your picture, make it into a card, or use it in a scrapbook. It's hard to believe that this decorative piece was once a sheet of newspaper.
